HIV Home Test

HIV Home Testing is now available throughout New Zealand. A home test consists of an oral swab (no finger pricks or blood), and results are usually available in 20 minutes.

How to use an HIV Home Test

We've put together this instructional guide, which you can watch and follow along once your test has arrived.

Please note that you should not brush your teeth, eat or drink, for at least 30 minutes before you begin the test. We recommend doing the test first thing in the morning.

If you have any questions about the home testing process, please get in touch with us at [email protected]
