Ending HIV Pride Hauora Series
The Ending HIV Pride Hauora Series is a new joint initiative by Auckland Pride and Ending HIV aimed at increasing the health and well-being of our rainbow communities. The Hauora series is a new category of events in the Auckland Pride Festival, allowing anyone to create an event in the series to improve the well-being of our diverse communities.
From workshops, forums, yoga or meditation and retreats, to sport or recreation, we’d love to have your event as part of the Hauora Series. Only have an initial idea so far? We’d still love to hear from you.
If an event is registered as part of the Auckland Pride Festival that aligns with the kaupapa of enhancing health and wellness within the community, you may apply for funding from Ending HIV as part of the Hauora Series. Specific criteria apply.
In your application, please include:
- Event name
- Event producer
- Date of event
- Target audience (age, sexuality, gender)
- Estimated attendance
- Whether Ending HIV can have a collateral presence at your event
- Amount applying for from Ending HIV and a budget demonstrating where funds will be allocated
The Proud Centres are Auckland Council Community Centres that are free to hire across the Festival, you can apply to host your event there through proudcentres.co.nz.
If your event is free to attend, it’s free to register in the Hauora Series and in the Pride Festival. You can register your event here, or find out more/apply for the fund below:
