image description

Tom Sainsbury, Playwright, Actor, Director and Comedian has written an hilarious and often moving play about HIV in the 21st Century, Status.

With an all-star cast exploring themes that affect our gay community and men (cis or trans) who have sex with men, these characters will capture your heart.

Status will play at Q Theatre from 7-16th of February from 8:30 - 9:30pm. Get tickets here

Having interviewed Ending HIV’s Peer Testers and Community Engagement staff, Tom has written a relevant and timely play that highlights some of the opportunities and challenges that guys in our community face.

In the changing landscape of safe sex, dating and hook-ups, Status explores the impact of breakthroughs such as U=U and PrEP on the sex lives and wellbeing of queer men.

You’ll find yourself knowing their experiences first hand, cringing with the rest of us and laughing out loud.

Status is Presented by Ending HIV and is part of the Auckland Pride Festival.

Venue is wheelchair accessible, audio loop available (please contact venue in advance), gender neutral bathrooms available

Status will play at Q Theatre from 7-16th of February from 8:30 - 9:30pm. Get tickets here
