As a community-based organisation, our volunteers are an extremely important part of almost everything that we do. We love to see new faces and are hugely appreciative of the way the community supports the work that we do.
COME ALONG TO A CONDOM PACKING NIGHT
Condom packing night is not just about helping your community. It’s also a great way to meet new people. It’s always a great night, with drinks, nibbles and lots of great conversation!
Each year, Ending HIV distributes around 750,000 free condom and lube packs around New Zealand. Few people realise that they are hand-packed by volunteers every week in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. On an average condom-packing night we might have 20-30 volunteers in each city and they’ll pack between 3,000 and 5,000 condom and lube packs over a couple of hours.
Usual times are:
Auckland (31 Hargreaves St)
Wednesdays from 4pm to 7pm
Wellington (187 Willis St)
Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm
Fridays from 1pm to 3pm
Christchurch (185 Peterborough St)
Once a month on Wednesdays
CONSULT FOR ENDING HIV
We are looking for volunteers from all corners of the community to consult with on the development of our Ending HIV resources, videos, and campaigns. We are keen to hear the community's perspective, so if you would like to be contacted when we are working on projects that are relevant to you, please fill in the form below. Please note that by submitting the form you consent to be contacted by NZAF and our representatives.
OTHER VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
We are grateful for the generosity of countless volunteers to help us make positive change in our communities. And we always have an awesome time while we’re at it. Additional opportunities include the Ending HIV Big Gay Out and World AIDS Day.
